	&lt;p&gt;Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I&amp;#8217;m swamped trying to launch my next iphone app :)&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;There are a couple of leaks in the map kit and there very will could be leaks in the example. I did not run instruments on it. Try running the static analyser (Command-Shift-A) on the code and it might show you some of the obviously silly things. I will try this weekend to grab the code fresh from the site and check it out.&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Mapquakes demo seems to have a leak.  They appear to have something to do with the interaction with the pins.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;Is this because it is just a demo program, or is there an inherent leak in Mapkit?&lt;/p&gt;
