I work a lot with blind people who are now saying the iPhone and iPad are great for them because of VoiceOver.

I’d also like to see more automated testing of the iOS software projects I’m involved in.

From the linked blog post I hear that in iOS the two, accessibility and automated testing, are actually intimately related.

So, perhaps a few recipes could touch on how to “do things right” —in terms of, for example, labeling and identifying UI elements (especially snazzy custom ones, whose lack of accessibility is so often frustrating for blind users)—so that everything is designed to play nice both with blind people using VoiceOver and automated testing setups, right from the start?
