Update for Android 4?

Can anyone speak to whether this book is being updated for Android 4? And if it is, when the update will be released?

We haven’t decided whether or not to do an update.

• Aside from a few superficial things with changing dialogs and new project template code, the material in Hello, Android has held up pretty well and is still relevant today.
• Up until very recently Android 2.x accounted for over 50% of all devices. And that only changed because Google changed the rules for how they were counting users.
• Online resources and tutorials are orders of magnitude better now than they were when I wrote the first version of Hello, Android.

Right now, I think the combination of an intro book like mine, plus all the beyond-intro information available online, may be good enough.
