I’ve read halfway through and checked the entire table of contents, but I can’t seem to find where it lists all the assertions you can make.

Presumably, you have the set of assertions listed at
http://rubydoc.info/github/glv/rspec-unit/RSpec…
but the syntax there doesn’t match the syntax in the book:
foo.should == 42
