Hmmm… I just bought the book and I expected a more detailed and extensive example on doing this. I wanted something more “end – to – end” I was hoping to see more ways to utilize this ability. The potential is a very “rich” topic. This feels like an oversimplification. Just my opinion. |

Well, ok, I am new to Ruby and Rails, so I guess I didn’t “get it” at first, but, this is a simple example because, it’s just a very simple concept. To the authors: In general, I still think the examples could be more detailed, or, have some more use cases exampled?, but I have to look at this as the target audience it is intended for. I now will look at all these recipes with a different mindset. Hopefully I will be able to leverage the other examples now more productively. I guess this is a book you as a newer Ruby & Rails user, “grow into”. |
