I’m trying to go through the tutorials on a Windows 7 development machine. I didn’t have too much trouble setting up the deployment environment using Vagrant and Puppet, but now that I’m trying to get Capistrano set up, I’m running into an error trying to set up the massiveapp sample application. In particular, running First of all, is it necessary to install the Capistrano gem as part of the local bundle, or is it sufficient for the rest of the tutorial just to install Capistrano as a regular, system-wide gem? I can supply additional details (error messages, etc.) as needed if I do have to get the local bundle working, but I want to make sure it’s worth the trouble first. |
