On page 71 of the 2006-11-6 version, 4th paragraph from the bottom, the author states in regards to Subversion keyword expansion:

“We really recommend not using this Subversion feature, since it can get you into lots of bother.”

I would really like to see the reasoning behind this broad sweeping statement.

Is there a better way to tell what version of a file you have in production?
