e-book upgrade to 2'nd edition

happy to see an updated version. Specialy about NSIncrementalStore wil be very welcome. It is in there, right? I hope so.

Anyway, my question. For people who owes the first edition and who want to buy the second edition, will there be a price reduction?

Ditto for first edition owners. If not, I’ll probably spring for the $21 eBook upgrade anyway.

The publisher will need to answer the question about upgrade pricing. I am honestly not sure how that works.

As for NSIncrementalStore, I am on the fence about adding it. I will definitely take your request into consideration for it.

This is Colleen Toporek, Marcus’s editor here at the Prags. I did check, but unfortunately there’s no discount for a new edition.

I was just checking out the sample code. Nothing is compiling. I think I know what the problem is, and should be a fairly simple fix. I am running xCode 4.5.1. and I can not open any of the .xcdatamodeld files. I think the fix is correcting those files.
Perhaps you could ask Marcus to check his code out and make the fixes. I would get a Beta copy of the book if I could get the code to work.

I am also using 4.5.1 and all of the projects are compiling for me. I will check with what is on the Prags servers and see if there is a difference.

I also cannot open the .xcdatamodeld files. I see that you have a mogenerator script on the directory so I ran it . It aborted with the following as output:

The code that was uploaded had a corrupted file. the code will be updated with the next beta push. That should resolve this issue.
