I’m interested, of course, so how can I discover this? “Preferably an Android phone or tablet that supports OpenGL ES 2.”

Pretty much any recent Android device should do! If it’s running Gingerbread or higher, chances are it supports OpenGL ES 2. I would double-check before buying anything, but you can’t go wrong with one of the new Google Nexus devices, and they also sell for a reasonable price from Google Play.
