Hi! I have the first edition of your book, P2.0, and I notice that the Table of Contents for this edition of the book doesn’t seem to cover the topic of changing the backup interval for Time Machine. I am running 10.8.2 and Tip 175 (in the first edition) doesn’t seem to work under Mountain Lion. Do you how to do this? I love automated Time Machine backups but I hate the hourly interval. For me, an interval of every 5 hours would be better.

Thanks

Hi Bob

As you say, that tip on longer works. At some point I’ll have a poke around in the Time Machine subsystem to see if there’s anything similar. Sometimes the OS X developers change just the wording a little.

Cheers
