My son and I are having trouble creating the avatar in Chapter 3. We are using Chrome version 34. The problem arises when entering this line from page 27:

var left_hand = new THREE.Mesh(hand, cover);

As soon as we type the the T in THREE the avatar disappears. The Chrome debugger says:

“Application Cache Error event: Manifest fetch failed (4) http://gamingjs.com/ice/editor.appcache”

Help is appreciated.

Hrm… I believe that the application cache error can be ignored - that’s just the offline-first nature of ICE being a little noisier than it should be. It might be related, but I don’t think it’s the root cause.

I need to see the rest of your code in order to help. Can you paste it in here? Or include the share link in here?

Sorry for the hassle - we’ll get it sorted out though!

The code doesn’t appear in the post when I paste it. What “the share link”?

In the ICE Code Editor, if you click the menu button, there is an option to “Share”. Click it and paste the URL in here (the short URL option is better, but not necessary).

Code can be pasted directly in here if you surround it by two lines with three tildes:

 Regular words describing the problem....
