I’m pretty new to Mac and ios development and would like to learn a bit more about animations. The book seems a good starting point but it is getting quite old. How valid is it? Is it still worth buying?

Thanks, Henrik

I would say yes by the simple fact that it is still listed as one of the current books. Some of my other books from PragProg have been taken off as they have become irrelevant.

If you are interested in Core Animation it would be a good book to start with.

Hope this helps!

Cheers, Knut

It works. I’m just starting out also, and just started off on the book. Just gone thru a couple of chapters, but found it clear and the example code works.

It does require you to download the example code from the site, and once you download it, you will need to change the target to the latest Mac OS and Intel in you project Properties/ Build Settings / Base SDK.

Once you change it to your machine’s setting, everything works.
