Hi there and kudos for deciding to publish a book about dojo (at last! :) ). I really love the “pragmatic” style of writing so i hope that i won’t be disappointed from this one. To my question now… I was thinking to buy the PDF when i took a quick look at the contents of the book and realized that nothing about Dojo Offline is mentioned… Is it somewhere “hidden” or don’t you plan to include anything about it anyway? I really hope that it will be added (maybe forgotten? :D) or that it is already inside…

Hey Nikos! We’re definite fans of the Pragmatic style too, and the book will reflect that.

Sorry to tell you, but Dojo Offline isn’t going to make it into this book. Mostly we were concerned about page count and some of the cuts we made were heartbreaking, including this one.

Ah man… please reconsider Dojo Offline (if you can). This is an angle of using the browser for the front end of applications that has not been fully exploited yet, especially for Ajax enabled stuff.

Well, ... we’re just about finished and it’s at 570 pages. If we had added a Dojo offline chapter we would’ve had to jack up the price of the book. However, like with most things in Dojo, I’m finding uses for Offline in unexpected places, and plan to log my exploits on http://smokeorangework.blogspot.com, which is syndicated on Amazon.
