After 8 years of development I was still seeing programming hard and unpleasant, with a lot of questions in my mind and with a lot of gaps that I was looking forward to fill. And in this state, reading books that answer my questions and fill in the gaps, felt like a really good and efficient method to learn.

You were right: context is the king.
