The big change is that the book is updated to Rails 2.2.

As for a testing book: we have an RSpec/Cucumber book in the works…

I looked for a list of changes, but couldn’t find. Is the list of changes available to those of us that have not purchased the beta release?

Thanks for the response. I understand the need to stick to the main topic when writing a Rails tutorial.

Can you recommend a book that covers test-first development for Rails? Maybe a Pragmatic Programmers book?

There’s a list of changes at the start of each beta release.

I’ve tried changing the tutorial to be test-first, and quickly removed it: it really got in the way of describing the stuff we actually wanted to cover—the Rails features.

Is there a summary of changes from previous edition? Is there more emphasis on writing tests before developing functionality?
