I was absolutely planning on posting a review on Amazon, and I’m working to get the book be required reading for my development team here in the US as well as in China.

Any chance we could get you to come give a talk at the New England Java User’s Group? We have monthly meetings with standard attendance of about 300 developers.

I think this book has the wrong title, it could have been called The Pragmatic Programmer Second Edition.

I’m recommending that everyone on my team read this.

The great thing about detecting these things automatically is that you don’t have to – you just point to the failing tests. The penny will drop very soon after that, hopefully :-)

Now if only I can get my coworkers to acknowledge that they need to design their C++ code with exceptions in mind… :-)

As I mentioned in a recent erratum report, this is a top-shelf and highly
useable book, well structured, easy to read and packed with practical
wisdom !

It may be “hard” to top this one Paul!

i just finished reading the beta book. And now I can say it´s one of my favorite books. I am a PHD. in computer science and I will suggest this book to my students. It´s just great. And its just the beta book.
