Topic: Mastering Dojo / dojo data chapter examples not working

This chapter needed a Q/A team to validate it. So far, with 2 titles that I’ve purchased I’m deeply disappointed in the Pragmatic series. Neither one would qualify as a shippable product.

Whatever is going on, the site responds but the page never loads. Tried 3 different browsers on 3 different PC’s in 2 different locations and got the same result.

ESRI provides the Java version in different formats for different OS’s. The ZIP for Windows contains a Windows installer that puts the jars etc in a place and creates a shortcut that uses your installed JVM. I’m guessing that the versions for Linux contain the same jars but are installed via rpm or other appropriate technology for that.
