Topic: Pragmatic Ajax / Compiling the first java app

It’s been ages since I mucked around with Java last, so if you don’t mind me semi-hijacking, I’d like to expand your query to a more general plea for help in getting any Java stuff going that I’m going to need to run the Java code examples. I was afraid I’d need to get some Java Web server going, but from what I’ve read so far in Ch. 2 perhaps that’s not necessary.

Topic: Pragmatic Ajax / Google Maps tiles

I tried to type in the Google Maps URL for a single tile on p. 14 very carefully, but it leads to a 404. Likewise, some other online references point to Google Maps tiles also 404.
