Topic: Rails for PHP Developers / Example application in Ch.1 Dustin, These notes are found under “Starting Up the Server”. In the latest PDF, that’s on page 29. In the printed book, it’s page 14. Mike |

Topic: Rails for PHP Developers / protect_from_forgery problems with example app in chapter 1 Brandon, Yes, the example was updated in the second beta release of our “Rails for PHP Developers” book. On this website, visit “Your Account” and then select “Regenerate a PDF” from the sidebar. From there, you can select to generate the latest PDF for “Rails for PHP Developers” that includes this change and quite a few others. Regards, |

Topic: Rails for PHP Developers / Example application in Ch.1 John, You’re right, it turned out not to be a Windows-specific issue. It was just a coincidence that the first two users to experience it were on Windows. We’ve added a note to the newest version of the book (not released yet) that restarting the web server might be necessary. Mike |
