Here is a title concept that has been neglected for a long, long time. As a matter of fact a search on Amazon shows 3 books total, and old, publications ranging from 1997 to 2004. Lots changed since then. And with rumors mill grinding away at an iTablet finally possibly reaching fruition…. Well think of it as an iPhone with more power and a bigger touch screen, but still highly portable…. And what is the number 1 app type on the app store?

A good 2D/3D engine, but its not internal to Apple, so you can not use it since its an open API. But I have a feeling for well developed and proven libraries Apple may loosen there grip in certain areas. Any how one can hope. here is the link. Works for PCs and Linux too. Strong community backing. Good tutorials. Has a ton of language bindings as well. Java, perl, ruby, basic, python, lua, etc.. for scripting in it.
