I very much would like to see a book on this very interesting language which is gaining ground and definitely will boom in multicore software. Do you have any plans for this?

Sincerely,

Ivo Balbaert

There are 2-3 books on Go from other publishers, and the online documentation is excellent. Still, I’m sure there is room for another book on Go, the language.

What I would also like to see is a book on Web Development with Go, using a combination of the standard library and third party packages like the Gorilla web toolkit. It would cover building projects in Go much like Agile Web Development with Rails, or more appropriately, like one of the books on Sinatra.

If you are interested in books on Go, there is a full list maintained on the Go wiki: https://github.com/golang/go/wiki/Books

I’m not sure if someone is writing a book for Pragmatic Programmers, but the Addison-Wesley book by Brian Kernighan & Alan Donovan should be a good read. ;-)
