Reading the latest epub edition of Beginning Mac Programming (downloaded yesterday) in iBook on the iPad, I note that at least some modifier key symbols are not being rendered.

Example, in Chapter 3 (All About Objects) in the section “Writing Code for Our Own Objects”, “Objects and Objective-C”, at the beginning of the third paragraph I see: “Right-click (or -click) on the Classes group,…”

I’m not sure if this is a problem with the epub edition, the book in general, or just with iBook.

I also have this problem, my iPad sits next to my MacBook Pro and I read as I code. I’m curious to find out if this is an ibook issue or epub.

Sorry about this - I’ll try to find out what’s wrong.

I have this problem as well.

I looked into my iPhone SDK Development book as noticed that the keyboard shortcuts I found quickly were all spelled out.

“So, open the Library with Cmd–Shift–L …. “ “… go to the Size inspector with Cmd–3”

Anyhow, I love the book - thank you.

Oops: our fault—we omitted the Mac keyboard symbol definitions during the production build of the book.

I’ve uploaded a fixed version of the epub and mobi files.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
