Hi,

a few years ago I ordered an e-book and as usual, I generated a mail alias for “The Pragmatic Bookshelf”: pragprog@[mynamegoeshere].net. There is only one company per mail alias, so it’s simple to turn one off, in case of spam.

In the last few days I got some spam mails addressed to pragprog@[mynamegoeshere].net, which I could turn off easily, but perhaps someone is interested.

The content of the spam mails is about gold, it’s the same content every time.

A few years ago there was a breach at the third party we used to send out the newsletters. We notified folks back then, and switched providers.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience—we hate spam, and we’d knowingly never allow your email address to be used for spamming.
