I have quite a few pragprog eBooks all on my Kindle. For some reason all the book titles have my name at the end, for example Designed for Use (John S. Eddie). Some of them also have the book version number, for example Pragmatic Version Control, V3.0 (John S. Eddie). I’m not sure why this is? Call me pedantic but this really annoys me. Really annoys me! I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know how to remove it.

many thanks,

John

John.

That is our social DRM at work. We don’t put any copying restrictions on your mobi files. Instead, we add your name to them in several places (including the title). I hope that’s less obnoxious than the alternative, which would be to stop you freely using your book.

Regards

This type of DRM is the best. Hopefully it catches on.
