I’ve printed out the PDF front/back and placed in a ring notebook.

Having the page numbers on the inside of the pages (near the spine) makes it difficult to scan through a book looking for a particular page.

Sounds like your printout was off by one page perhaps.

I think because the PDF does not include the entirely blank page that represents the inside of the cover. The page following that in the PDF is the first ‘paper’ page (a right hand page) in the printed book, but if you print double sided will end up printing on the back of the cover page (due to there being no entirely blank page between them.

Print the cover page alone, then try printing a range and starting from the second page to the last page as your double-sided pages, that should put the page numbers in the right place.

I think Chris is just saying that he’d like the page numbers put in a different place on the PDF, not that they were on the wrong pages.

Thanks for the feedback Chris, I’ll let the publishers know.
