Sorry, I have more stupid questions… says,

“This extension currently only works with self-hosted copies of Cloud9 (either via cloning or npm install cloud9). Third-party extensions are not supported on

git clone git:// cloud9/client/ext/livecoffee

Open the Windows -> Extension Manager window, put the path to the extension in ext/livecoffee/livecoffee

Click add. You can now view the window via the Edit menu.”

So, I installed Cloud9 locally on my LinuxMint machine using npm install cloud9. It returned cloud9@0.3.0 ./node_modules/cloud9 line. I then cloned Cloud9 Live CoffeeScript Extension from github.

Now, instruction says “Open the Windows -> Extension Manager window”. What is it talking about? What is Windows -> Extension Manager? Is it a menu of Linux? Of Cloud9? If so, how to launch my local Cloud9?

After installing Cloud9, run it (you should just be able to type cloud9, as long as the place npm installed the binary is on your PATH—you should probably use npm install -g cloud9 to do a global install), then open http://localhost:3000 in the browser to open Cloud9. You should see the menu there.
