Hi,

thanks for the nice book, just finished reading it on my Kindle.

Would it be possible to wrap each code sample in a web page, maybe with some (simple) syntax highlighting? Sometimes I would like to read the complete code in order to understand the context, but the Kindle does not accept downloading the ruby source files directly.

Thanks for considering, and keep up the good work!

Steffen

I could put the source up on github, which does some syntax highlighting. Would that help?

That would certainly help, but the links in the book would have to point to GitHub then.

Alternatively, the pragprogs could deliver the source files with a content type of text/plain, so that the browser displays them as text. Might be the simplest solution.

Try again; the prags changed the web server to serve this stuff as text/plain. I tried it on the Kindle app on my iPad and you can see the code (not syntax highlighted, but that is a lot trickier). Don’t have a real Kindle to try it on, so let me know if it works.
