In Chapter 5, Figure 15, of version B3.0, we see what looks like an Arduino Nano which is connected to an XBee module using hardware that is different from that listed on page 61. For example the red wire isn’t shown in the parts list. Figure 14, which shows the connections between the XBee and the Arduino device, doesn’t show connection hardware suitable for an Arduino Nano device which has standard pin headers rather than the female headers shown in Figure 14.
I am assuming that Maker Shed delivers the Nano fully assembled and tested. The device ships with pin headers, not with female headers, which would make connections a lot easier.
Maybe discussing these points in additional detail would help.
