Hi everyone,

3-and-a-half years after the original publish date of this book, is it still applicable to someone wanting to start out with Raspberry Pi? If I were to buy a new Pi unit, would I still be able to follow along with the book?

Thanks,

Sean

Hi!

That is a valid question and I think after more than three years the book is getting outdated. Surprisingly, a lot of the information presented in the book is still valid, but there are also a couple of areas that would need some serious rework.

The Raspberry Pi and its operating systems are a moving target and it is difficult to keep track with them. Taking the competition into account I think it does not make sense to update the book once more.

Best, Maik
