Hit a wall trying to use $ curl -0 http://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/feeds/rdf-files.tar.bz2 It seems to download a lot of stuff … then stalls. When I go to extract the tar.bz2, there is nothing to extract.

I must have gone temporarily blind. I was using a Zero instead of O after curl. Oh well, it works.

I think the -0 (minus zero) is ok, that is telling curl to use HTTP 1.0.

I think a -o (minus small oh ) is needed so that we download the data to a file instead of writing it to stdout. Mine stalled too (macOS Sierra 10.12.4) until I modified the command to write to a file.

I changed the curl command that is used to download the Project Gutenberg data. I added a -o switch to specify a file to stream the data to:

curl -0 -o rdf-files.tar.bz2 http://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/feeds/rdf-files.tar.bz2
