I’m currently converting my depot application to Rails 4.0 and I have ran across this error:

I have updated both Rails (4.0.0.rc1) and Ruby (2.0.0.p0).

I’m guessing it has something to do with the project being generated as a Rails 3.2.x project and later upgrading.

Try putting a space between the word cache and the open bracket.

Note that this is a Ruby syntax error, not a Rails error. Without the space, it is interpreting cache as a hash or array and isn’t quite sure what to do when it encounters the do token. Adding a space makes it a method call.
