In iteration C1, once everything is wired up, hitting “Add to Cart” triggers an internal error: > Status: 500 Internal Server Error > Could not find table ‘carts’

This is under Rails 2.3rc2, so it may be a change in the framework’s behavior (or it could be a rookie error on my part.) I’m investigating.

Rookie error: I had inherited from ActiveRecord when I shouldn’t have.

Mind you, in production I probably would store the carts as actual exploded values in the database as it makes it easier to diagnose problems.

annnd…not inheriting from ActiveRecord triggers a bug in 2.3-rc3 (in case anybody else trips across it and comes here.)

I’m assuming that 2.3-rc3 is a typo.

http://intertwingly.net/blog/2009/03/05/Rails-2-3RC2 shows the progress I made on 2.3rc2.

Um, yeah, rc2, that’s what I meant to say… ;)
