Hi,

I’m getting errors running the ‘Conference’ sample code.

Here are the steps I’ve taken:

1) Copied the ConferenceAppDelegate, RootViewController, TrackEditing, SessionsView, SessionEditing files from the ‘Conference02’ subdirectory on the pragprog website.

2) Followed the instructions in the Core Data chapter regarding how to set up the model for the sample project.

3) Added ‘NSLog(@”Error: %@”, error)’ to the parts of the code that have the comment ‘handle the error…’ in RootViewController.m

I get the below error message in the debugger when I add a Track:

2009-09-01 23:44:38.263 Conference[2726:20b] insertTrack()- save FAILED: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=1580 UserInfo=0xf4a060 “Operation could not be completed. (Cocoa error 1580.)”

Is this a problem with the sample code, or have I missed something?

Cheers, Daniel

I should also mention that I don’t see the data persisting between exiting-then-running the program- the initial table is always blank, regardless of the number of Tracks I add.

Ummmm, what Conference example code? The Core Data book focuses on a recipe application.
