Hello again,

it’s not easy following chapter 5 if you are new to CoreData. I followed the instructions in chapter 5 word by word, but the migrations fails:

“Persistent store migration failed, missing source managed object model.”

In the target there are “Grocking_Recipes.xcdatamodeld” and “v1_to_v2.xcmappingmodel”. I removed both and added them again - same error. I added “v1.xcdatamodel” and “v2.xcdatamodel” to the target - same error. Before every try I cleared the project to force a complete rebuild.

I have the printed book version P1 and I bought the new version P2 of the book as a PDF. Same result with following chapter 5 in P2. I tried to solve this issue every evening the past week on my own (to learn from my errors) but I failed. Now I feel like 25 years ago when I started with Comal on my brand new VC20… ;-)

Any ideas? Marcus

Have you resolved this issue?

Have you downloaded the source from PragProg?
